GETTING STARTED

Getting the most from the community

Search for an answer, write a reproducible question, and mark the result so other owners can use it.

3 minute read·Guide

1. Search before posting

  1. Open Community. Search the exact error, filename, or feature without private values. Search includes titles, opening posts, and visible replies.
  2. Compare software versions and symptoms in the results; a similar error from another season may have another cause.
  3. Reply to an existing discussion for the same issue. Start a new one for a materially different version, cause, or question.

2. Write a useful question

  1. Choose Help & troubleshooting for errors, Lua & customization for scripting, or Ideas & feedback for a product suggestion.
  2. Use a specific title, such as “Channel 1 disconnects after selection on Season 6”.
  3. State the server/client version, action taken, expected result, and actual result. Include the first relevant error and changed filename.
  4. List attempted fixes and their results. Add up to five short relevant tags.
  5. Place a short sanitized log or minimal script in a code block. Remove passwords, keys, player information, and addresses you want private.

Connection-problem checklist

  • Failure stage: before list, after channel selection, during login, or on transfer.
  • Player location: same PC, LAN, or another Internet connection.
  • Which service reports the error and its timestamp.
  • Whether the clean matching client and unmodified configuration reproduce it.

3. Follow up

  1. Report what changed after each suggested fix, including any remaining error.
  2. When solved, use the topic author’s solution action to mark the helpful reply and add the final procedure with sensitive values removed.
  3. Bookmark useful discussions. Follow a topic for in-app reply notifications.
  4. Move private access or license details to Support, using the ticket checklist.
