HP cost of damage boosters
Pets and items that boost your damage (Satan, Dinorant, wings and capes) take a little HP each time you hit:
| Booster | HP per hit |
|---|---|
| Wings: Dark Wizard, Fairy Elf, Summoner | 1 |
| Wings: Dark Knight, Magic Gladiator, Dark Lord | 3 |
| Satan | 3 |
| Dinorant | 1 |
The costs add up: wings and Satan together take both. A Rage Fighter pays by skill for wings and for Satan: 2 HP for Killing Blow, Beast Uppercut, Dragon Roar and Phoenix Shot, 4 HP for Chain Drive, Dark Side and Charge, 100 HP for Dragon Slasher, and 3 HP for anything else. Hitting a player who rides a Dinorant also costs you 1 HP.
With area skills such as Evil Spirit or Inferno you pay this only once per cast, on the first monster hit, no matter how many monsters the skill reaches. Normal attacks and single-target skills still cost HP on every hit.
Damage between players
Damage you deal to another player is a share of the damage you would deal to a monster, set per class so that duels between players in similar gear last only a few seconds at the top end:
| Class | Share of damage dealt to players |
|---|---|
| Dark Wizard | 19% |
| Dark Knight | 17% |
| Fairy Elf | 21% |
| Magic Gladiator | 18% |
| Dark Lord | 16% |
| Summoner | 18% |
| Rage Fighter | 16% |
Wings, shield skills, Soul Barrier and Swell Life lower the damage a target takes further. The full list of formulas, with the buff caps, is in Character formulas.
