Devil Square
Which square is yours, how to get an invitation, how the score works and what each rank pays.
In Devil Square you and up to fourteen other players hold out for twenty minutes against waves of Kundun's monsters. Every kill scores points, and when the time runs out the best scores take the biggest share of the experience and zen. Every number on this page comes from the server's own files.

Which square is yours
Your level decides the square, and you can only enter that one. Magic Gladiator, Dark Lord and Rage Fighter use their own, lower bands. Square 7 is for every third-class character.

Getting in
Devil's Invitation
Mix it in the Chaos Machine. The Eye and the Key must be the same level, and the invitation comes out at that level. It is used up when you enter.
Up to 10 Talismans of Luck add +1% each. A failed mix loses everything in the machine.
Devil Square Ticket
In the cash shop (X in the game): 25 KCoin for one entry or 225 KCoin for ten, or 50 Play Points for one. It opens the square that fits your level, whichever it is. It cannot be traded.
Where Eyes and Keys drop
Any monster outside Devil Square can drop a Devil's Eye or a Devil's Key, each with a 0.8% chance. The monster's level sets the level of the piece.
| Monster level | Eye and Key |
|---|---|
| below 36 | +1 |
| 36–46 | +2 |
| 47–59 | +3 |
| 60–69 | +4 |
| 70–79 | +5 |
| 80–89 | +6 |
| 90 and up | +7 |
The fight
Enter while the gates are open
Talk to Charon with your invitation or ticket. Once the fight starts nobody else can get in.

Fight the waves
Seventy monsters are on the floor at once, and each one you kill is replaced a second later. Every five minutes or so a stronger wave takes over. They are the same monsters you meet in the field, and no monster is used in two squares.
Bosses at minute 15
With five minutes left the square's bosses appear once: three in squares 1 and 2, two in squares 3 to 6 and one in square 7. They do not come back. Each one drops its own reward, as it does in the field.

Stay alive to the end
Rewards go to the players still inside when the time runs out. If you die, your score is lost and you wake up in Noria.
Monsters by square
Each square is about thirteen levels harder than the one before, from level 28 in square 1 to 122 in square 7. Square 7 has the Kanturu and Barracks monsters, made for characters with master levels.

Score
points = your share of the monster's HP × monster level × square number
Only the player who lands the killing blow scores, and only for the damage they did themselves. A full solo kill of a level 106 Gigantis in square 7 is worth 742 points. Party members score nothing for kills they did not finish.
Rewards
When the fight ends the players inside are ranked by score; on a tie the lower-level character ranks higher. With 7 or more players: 1st place gets tier 1, the top 30% tier 2, the top 50% tier 3, the rest tier 4. With 6 or fewer: 1st gets tier 1, 2nd tier 2, everyone else tier 4.

The ranking pays experience and zen; items come from the bosses. Characters with master levels do not receive the ranking experience.
Good to know
Allowed
- Parties, across classes and squares. Experience is shared within 10 steps.
- Buffing again after you enter; your party buffs are removed on the way in.
- Entering with a PK status.
Not allowed
- Hurting other players, trading or duelling.
/move, Kalima gates and the cash shop.- Coming back in after you die or disconnect.
- Server-wide kill notices: bosses killed inside are not announced.
- Normal drops are cut to a tenth inside; jewels of Chaos and some top-tier weapons and sets still drop as usual.
Tips
- Invitations up to +4 succeed 80% of the time, +5 to +7 only 70%. Bring Talismans of Luck for the high ones.
- Only the killing blow scores, and only for your own damage. Let the player who needs the rank finish the monsters.
- Your score is lost if you die, so do not chase the bosses at minute 15 with low HP.
- Squares 3 to 6 end with two Land of Trials bosses. Each drops its own reward, so every run there is two chances at an ancient piece.
- On a tie the lower-level character ranks higher.
- Re-buff after you enter: party buffs are removed on the way in, but buff skills work inside.
