Repeatable Quests

Four NPCs with weekly and daily tasks, their own currency and their own shop: the Gens War Office, Tercia's Bounty Board, Veina's Shrine and Zyro's Caravan.

Four NPCs give you tasks that come back every day or every week. Each one pays its own currency, and you spend it only in that NPC's shop. Click the NPC to open its panel: the Tasks tab lists what you are working on, the middle tab is the NPC's own board, and the last tab is the shop. The Taskmaster chain stays the long one-way quest line; these four are the loops you come back to.

Rules for every loop

  • Account-wide

Your currency, your tasks and your shop limits belong to your account. Progress counts on whichever character is online, on Main and Sub alike.

  • Not an item

The currencies are counters on your account. You cannot trade, drop or sell them.

  • Weekly cap

Each currency has a cap per week (shards per day). The panel header shows how much you earned this period.

  • Resets

Daily tasks reset at 00:00 server time, weekly ones on Monday 00:00.

  • Bound rewards

What you buy is bound to your account (no trade, store, drop or NPC sale). Zyro's Fenrir parts and the caravan materials are the exception: they stay tradable.

  • Two accounts per PC

One PC can earn each currency on at most 2 accounts per week.

  • Delivery

Bought items go to your delivery mailbox and land in your inventory as soon as there is room.

War Office contracts

The Gens Duprian Steward in Lorencia (144, 127) and the Gens Vanert Steward in Noria (167, 100) run the War Office for members of their own faction. Everyone else still gets the join, leave and ranking reward dialog; members reach it with the Gens options button.

Each week two front maps are chosen for your level band, the same on Main and Sub. You get three contracts:

ContractGoal (level 400)War Merits
FrontKill 800 monsters on a front map60
HoldKill 300 monsters within 25 tiles of your faction's banner on a front map80
ClashWin 10 Gens fights in Vulcanus (Main server)100

Lower bands need fewer kills: 400/150 below level 150, 600/250 up to 299, 700/250 up to 399. The Ladder tab shows this week's front maps and the exact spot of your faction's banner on each.

PvP wins

A win counts when you kill a player of the other faction in the Vulcanus battle zone who is level 300 or higher. It never counts against your party, your guild, a player on your IP or PC, or the same player twice within an hour. After the Clash contract, each win pays 2 War Merits.

Merits are contribution

Every War Merit you earn also adds one point of Gens contribution, so the War Office is how you climb the Gens ranks. The weekly cap is 400 Merits.

Faction score and banners

All Merits earned in a week count toward your faction's score, shown as a red and blue bar on the Ladder tab with the top 10 of your faction. The faction with more Merits wins the week: for the whole next week every member of that faction gets +5% experience on both servers.

Champion set

The top three Merit earners of each faction get jewels the first time they log in after the week ends:

Tips

  • Open every board once a week even if you play one character: tasks are rolled when you first open them.

  • Do the War Office Hold contract and Tercia's hunts on the same map when they match.

  • Light the shrine on the character you want to grow: Devotion points stay with that character.

  • Buy caravan materials from other players when you are short: the Seals pay better than selling them.
